Play Several Rooms at the Same Time?

Ladbrokes Bingo has a new feature that seems exciting.  It’s a multi room bingo product so enthusiastic and brave players can play multi games across several rooms simultaneously.  People have been known to do this but most online bingo sites frown on the practice, called “raiding”.  Apparently they don’t want you to play in several high stakes games at once but Ladbrokes clearly doesn’t mind.

While you are in one of the Ladbrokes Bingo rooms, you simply need to select the rooms tab of the top navigation bar and then click add.  You will be able to switch back and forth from chat to chat as well as be able to play 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball bingo all at the same time.

I doubt that I would take advantage of this option as I don’t think I could keep up with three different games and three different chats.  I have a hard enough time keeping up with multiple instant messager windows.  But if you are talented and quick thinking enough to handle it, be sure to check out this new multi room feature at Ladbrokes Bingo.

Mile High Bingo Club?

These 24 people may be the most faithful bingo players we have ever seen.  The group is training to break the record for the World’s Highest Game of Bingo – 17,500 feet up on Mt. Everest!  The plan is part of a fundraising effort for Sue Ryder Care by Gala Coral.  The group has pledged to reach £1 by the end of the year and they’ve already raised three quarters of their goal.

The team members are doing all sorts of physical training to prepare them for the vigorous trek to the Mt. Everest base camp including long distance running and hill walking.  They have begun to practice with dealing with any altitude issues by having bingo games atop local landmarks such as the Gherkin in London and the Blackpool Tower, both over 500 feet high.

Not only will the bingo enthusiasts be dealing with the harshness of the trek, they will also be playing a new version of the popular and fast paced High 5 game.  As CEO of Gala Coral Group, Dominic Harrison, says,  if they “can have a great time playing it at 17,500 feet”, then the game should prove to be “a rip roaring success here in the UK”.

Bingo Wings Winner Announced

The controversial “Show Us Your Bingo Wings” competition is finally over and the winner was 38-year old actress, Iliana Flade, from London.  The competition was controversial over affilate Unlucky ForSome asking for an “obese young woman” to feature in their upcoming ad campaign.  The term “bingo wings” is a UK slang phrased referring to the underarm fat generally found on older women.    With the bingo market trying desperately to position themselves for a younger demographic, many other affiliates and operators were not impressed by the “Bingo Wings” competition.

The controversy didn’t stop more than 200 people from entering the competition, though.  The ten finalists competed this past week in London with Flade being announced as the winner.  She receives £1,000 for a prize plus gets awarded a pro rata £100,000 contract for the advertising campaign.

The site claims they were just trying to find a “real woman” and not a “stick thin” model.  They admit that it was a bit daring to ask for an overweight woman but they wanted someone who was happy with themselves the way the were and had a bubbly personality.

Snap Bingo Launch A Roaring Success

With sister online bingo sites like Foxy Bingo, Cheeky Bingo and Posh Bingo, is it any wonder that Snap Bingo would attract a good fanbase in only it’s first week of operation?  We certainly were not surprised to see it take off like it has.  I love the cartoon crocodile they used in the design and the greens are refreshing after the riot of pinks and oranges I’ve seen on so many bingo sites.

Being on the Cassava network has enabled Snap Bingo to start right off with some tremendous progressive jackpots, which are always exciting.  You’ll get 100% first deposit bonus with 50% reload bonuses indefinitely plus an excellent loyalty scheme.  The only problem with being on a large network with the same software platform is that if you’ve played on one site, you’ve played on them all.  We would like to see some unique features added to Snap Bingo but perhaps that will come with time.

Microgaming On a Roll With New Side Games

If you remember correctly, we mentioned back in August that Microgaming had released a bunch of new side games.  Side games are meant to keep bingo goers occupied while they wait for the balls to be drawn, but they provide a whole new fascination all their own.  Sometimes they just provide a break when you’ve played several bingo games in a row and you need to try something new, other times they are great for killing time while waiting for a special game to start.  No matter why you play them, they certainly provide a change of pace while still maintaining the gambling thrill and excitement.

The last batch of games released went over like gangbusters and now we have nine more games released from Microgaming last week.  They’ve come up with two new scratch cards, a new casual game, two new pub style slot games, two classic 3-reel slots and two video slots.  With themes ranging from Halloween, summer fun, children’s nursery rhymes and soap bubbles, you know they will be lots of fun to play.

So that is two months in a row that Microgaming has released a slew of new side games – wonder if we’ll see more for next month?  If we do, you know we’ll tell you all about it here.

Deal or No Deal Bingo Game Coming By End of October

Virtue Fusion has just signed a strategic agreement with the producers of the hit game show, Deal or No Deal.  They’ve been given the non-exclusive rights to produce games on two other shows as well – Big Brother and Golden Balls.  Word is that the new game will incorporate standard bingo along with parts of the show, including allowing the other bingo roomies to tell players whether or not to accept the deal.

Some of the online bingo sites within the Virtue Fusion network have already said they will definitely feature the game so you can expect to see it appear by the end of October on Mecca Bingo, Paddy Power Bingo and Sky Bingo at least.  You know if it’s a popular game, many of the sites on the network will also jump on board.

We can’t wait to see the new game unveiled but we’re also eager to see what gets developed to go with the Big Brother and Golden Balls themes eventually.  Neither Virtue Fusion nor the production company have released any information on the timeframe for the latter two games but as soon as we hear anything, you know we’ll post it here for you.

Tomorrow night, Foxy Bingo is running their weekly Super Prize Night promotion in the Love Me Tender bingo room starting at 8 pm.  This week, Foxy is giving all their players a chance to bling it up with some incredible jewelry prizes.  Every twenty minutes brings another game and another fantastic piece of jewelry.

Gala Bingo Closes 9th Bingo Hall This Year

Locals are saddened as Gala Bingo announces the closure of yet another bingo hall, this time in Castle Hill.  Despite the hall being one of the most popular bingo halls in the Midlands area, Gala Bingo representative has called this a “commercial decision”.  They have said that this won’t increase unemployment in the area as the employees will be moved to other Gala Bingo halls.

Representative of Gala Bingo, Sarah Mercer, told local newspapers that there had been an offer to purchase the property but she didn’t reveal any other details on the potential sale.

Gala Bingo is not the only land based bingo operator to be experiencing financial difficulties and tough decisions.  The entire land bingo industry has suffered over the past three years throughout the UK.  A combination of the global recession, the effects of the smoking ban and the newly increased bingo tax are blamed for much of the difficulties.

Saturday Night’s Best Bets for Bingo

Here is a round-up of some of the best bingo games and the highest jackpots around for this evening.

Bet365 Bingo has their Bingo Linx game at 10:30 pm for the guaranteed jackpot amount of £4,000.  Take a look in the Safari, Jetsetter and Island Hopper bingo rooms to get a chance at the prize.

Low budget this week?  Hit up Ladbrokes Bingo from 11 pm to 1 am and play their free bingo games where you can win a share of the over £10,000 cash prizes in the Lounge bingo room.

As always, 888 Ladies has the cash you’re craving with it’s 9 pm £1,000 Coverall Jackpot followed by the huge £10,000 Coverall Jackpot at 10 pm.  Both of these are in the Studio 75 bingo room playing 75 ball bingo.

Not sure if it’s because of the end of the month blues but we were rather underwhelmed by the promotions this weekend.  Perhaps things will improve throughout the fall, though, and we’ll see a bit more excitement back in the online bingo world.

No More Free Bingo No Deposit Bonus at We Luv Bingo

The final Cashcade run online bingo site to do away with the free bingo no deposit bonus has pulled their offer.  We Luv Bingo will still have a special offer for first depositors but claim to have ended the no deposit bonus due to unspecified abuse of the system.  With the wagering requirements from most online bingo sites, it makes it unlikely for the bonuses to be abused but We Luv Bingo is not the only site to make this claim.  No one ever gives the specifics, though, so it does make you wonder if it might just be an excuse.

The whole point of free bingo no deposit bonuses are to entice new players to a site by taking away the monetary risk associated with using their own funds.  Naturally, the sites expect that a good many of these free players will like the games and the site enough to become a full-fledged depositing player and much of the time this is the case.  Now We Luv Bingo will have to hope that the 100% matching bonus for first deposits and 50% reload bonuses will be enough of a draw to new players.

Of course, We Luv Bingo does still offer their daily free bingo games and the site pays out close to £30,000 – hopefully this isn’t the next thing the site decides to do away with.  The site also has £10,000 in guaranteed jackpots so regular customers do have a lot to keep them sticking around.
